Mr. Byron Ronald "Ronnie" Neese, 79, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 12, 2017, at Creasy Springs Health Campus in Lafayette. He was born in Lebanon on June 29, 1938, a son of the now late Roscoe and Carol (Cook) Neese.
Ronnie was a lifelong resident of Lebanon and a 1957 graduate of Lebanon High School.
On Feb. 18, 1962, he was married to Margaret Louise Davis at Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lebanon. Mrs. Neese preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 2006.
Ronnie was employed by Dow Chemical. He worked there for many years in corporate security and shipping and receiving, until his retirement. Following his retirement, he worked in shipping and receiving for Pitney Bowes.
His memberships included Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lebanon, the Colfax Christian Church and the Dow Chemical Retirement Club.
He enjoyed traveling, photography, classic cars, reading the Bible, and going out to eat. Above all else, he loved his family and watching his grandchildren's activities.
Survivors include children, Brian Neese and wife, Cathy, of Eagan, Minn., and Tammy (Neese) Padgett and husband, Kent, of Frankfort; grandchildren, Kendra (Padgett) Rairdon and husband, Matt, of Thorntown, Kyle Padgett and wife, Natalie, of Shelbyville, and Krista Padgett of Frankfort; and sister-in-law, Phyllis (Thrine) Neese. In addition to his parents and his wife, Ronnie was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Neese and Ross Neese; and three sisters, Erma Webb, Margery Buckingham and Miriam Schuck.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
