Charles "Chuck" Childress, Jr., 54, of Crawfordsville, passed away Dec. 9, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Lebanon, on Jan. 15, 1962, a son of the now late Charles Childress, Sr. and Loretta (Bowman) Childress McKinney.
He attended Western Boone High School.
Chuck had been employed at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the maintenance department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and socializing with friends and family.
Survivors include sister Tammy Childress and companion, Kevin Kisner of Umatilla, Florida; half-brothers Shane Childress and companion, Lori Hieston of Jamestown; Jason Childress of Rensselaer; and niece: Brandy Childress of Umatilla.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are planned for 6 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Ailes, officiating.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory are entrusted with arrangements.
