Charlotte's Story

Text size

Charlotte Kay (Duff) Kidd was born July 31, 1958, in Lebanon. She was the daughter of Donald and Carolyn Duff of Lebanon.
Charlotte was a 1976 graduate of Western Boone High School. Her occupations included working on the family farm, house cleaning service, Long John Silvers and Dollar Tree.
Charlotte married Brian Douglas Kidd in 1979. Together they have been active members of New Brunswick Church of Christ, Westlake Church of Christ and Lebanon Christian Church. Two sons survive; Brandon Kidd of Chicago and Jared Kidd of Lebanon.
Charlotte was known for her outgoing personality, a never-ending smile, her faith, her friendship and her generosity. Charlotte's community outreach included playing mandolin and autoharp with two family bands; sharing baked goods (especially cookies); worshipping God; singing with One Way Singers and other ministry groups; visiting seniors at nursing homes with her "holiday dressed" dogs, Xena and Sadie; presenting song in sign language; and giving hand-crafted gifts.
Charlotte was a devoted wife and mother, a pillar of faith, a virtuous woman, and a true friend.
"Love you so much Sweetie. You made life worth living. Can't wait to see you again." Brian
Family and friends will gather Saturday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. for a service to be held at Lebanon Christian Church. Charlotte will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
