Clarence Pete Brown Clarence Pete Richard Brown, 78, of Lebanon, passed away on November 25, 2018.

Pete was born in Lebanon on July 3, 1940. Pete was married to Dianne (Whisler) Brown on February 21, 1964 and they were married 54 years. Together, they raised their two sons Mark and David.

Pete served our community as a Fireman for the Lebanon Fire Departments for 32 years. He also was employed with Smalls Garage and Culleys Service Station for many years. His father was the owner of Browns Garage for many years on the Southside of Lebanon- which sparked his love of sharp, fast cars. He loved traveling with his wife and family. Pete was always on the go and ready for an adventure at any time.

Pete enjoyed collecting several items such as knives, fire service memorabilia, and antiques. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, they brought him great pride and joy. Pete was an early riser and often one of Hardees first customers every morning. He enjoyed getting the newspaper and catching up on the latest information from all of his buddies while he enjoyed a cup or three of coffee. Pete was known by all for his ornery sense of humor.

Pete is survived by his beloved wife Dianne; son Mark (Angela) Brown; grandchildren Katy (Brian) Cramer, Ayreka (Doug) Gibson, Jay Brown, Sheauna (Nick) Corbeau, David (Alysha) Brown and 12 great grandchildren.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents Jewel and LaVeda Brown, his son David Brown and many close cousins.

Family and friends will gather Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Pete will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. You are invited to visit the website www.strawmyerdrury.com where you may sign his online register and leave a personal message.

I am sorry to read of Pete's passing. I enjoyed him coming out to the station at Center and talking about drinking coffee at the Farm House. My grandparents owned it. Have been thinking about him lately. Have you in my thoughts and prayers. Mark hope to see you at one of the stations soon.
