Claudia Price, 71, of Lebanon, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, lost her fight with cancer and passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2017, while surrounded by her family.
Claudia was born on Jan. 3, 1946, in Fargo, N.D., a daughter of the now late Sam and Betty (Richter) Skaare.
She grew up in Chicago and made her way to Indiana. There Claudia successfully managed residential and commercial properties throughout her 30-year career. Some of her notable responsibilities included managing the Indiana National Bank Tower and commercial complexes throughout Indianapolis.
Claudia strived for excellence at every turn in her career, and achieved several professional designations reflecting that drive including the RPA and CMP. She maintained her professional real estate license as an independent principal broker her entire life.
Claudia's faith played a central role in her life as an avid member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She supported many civic and cultural organizations throughout her life including the Symphony at Sunset Group and Witham YMCA Board of Directors.
Claudia especially loved quilting and was a crazy quilter. She joyfully shared with each grandchild, along with many friends' grandchildren, a piece of her loving work.
Claudia is survived by her husband of 25 years, Bill Price; her daughters, Robyn (Doug) Hall, Jennifer (John) Cooper, Michelle (Lilian) Coupey; son, Max (Lisa) Price; grandchildren, Dustin Hall, Trevor Hall, Jason Hall, Emily Cooper, Mimi Cooper, Janie Cooper, Noah Coupey, Abby Coupey, Owen Coupey, Coleson Price and Clayton Price; a sister-in-law, Marge Skaare; and a brother-in-law, Chuck Alden. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Janet and David Morris; her brother, Gordon Skaare; and sister, Linda Skaare Alden.
Always an outgoing person, she leaves many friends behind. Know that she loved you all and will see you in heaven.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, April 8, for visitation from 3:30 p.m. until time of services at 5:30 p.m., with Pastor Anthony Stone officiating at Centenary United Methodist Church, 910 Fordice Rd., Lebanon.
