David Paul Belcher, 65, of Gosport, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Sept. 2, 1951, in Indianapolis, to the now late Morton E. and Dorothy (Bartlett) Belcher.
David was a graduate of Carmel High School.
He enjoyed NASCAR, visiting the library and going out to eat.
David retired from Metropolitan Glass in Indianapolis, where he worked as a glazier. After retirement, he took a part-time job with McDonald's in Spencer.
On May 26, 1984, he married Marilyn Jeanne Bruce; she survives, living in Gosport. He also leaves behind two sons, Bruce G. Johnson of Lebanon, and Robert William (wife, Melanie) Auman of North Salem; one brother, Roger Belcher of Fishers; two sisters, Judi (husband, Lynn) Wilson of Lebanon, and Jan Belcher of Carmel; three grandchildren, Matthew (wife, Jessica) Johnson, and Arbor and Parker Auman; and three great-grandchildren, Trevor, Charlie and Alexander Johnson.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service celebrating David's life at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon.
There will be no visitation.
