David Keith Russell, 73, of Pittsboro, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis. He was born in Clinton County on Jan. 31, 1944, a son of the now late Gordon B. and Nettie (McCoy) Russell.
On July 10, 1965, he was married to Nancy Ferguson in the New Brunswick Church of Christ in Lebanon; she survives.
David was a 1962 graduate of Pinnell High School. He attended Indiana State University following high school.
He worked for the Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis as a tool maker for over 39 years.
David was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed woodworking and racing.
He was an active member of the New Brunswick Church of Christ, having served as elder and deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Russell; children, Todd (Dawn) Russell of Pittsboro and Christie (Victor) Harper of Greenwood; six grandchildren, Brian Harper, Brett Harper, Brad Harper, Brock Harper, Katie Russell and Jake Russell; three brothers, Jim (Carolyn) Russell of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Tom (Jane) Russell of Fillmore and Fred (Cathy) Russell of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 16, at New Brunswick Church of Christ, 6480 SR 39, Lebanon. Funeral services are planned for noon Saturday at the church. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
