Donald Lee "Don" Hume, 85, of New Ross, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Danville Regional Rehab.
He was born June 14, 1932, in Lebanon, son of the now late Harry and Ruth (Armstrong) Hume.
Don served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, the Jamestown Lions Club and was a Jackson Township Representative for the Boone County Fair.
He worked for Allison Gas Turbine, retiring after 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Donelda (Burris) Hume; sons, John (Cindy) Hume of New Ross, and Brian (Dawn) Hume of North Salem; and grandchildren, Isaac, Owen, Garrett and Breanna Hume.
Family and friends will gather Monday, July 10, from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon at the Porter Funeral Home, 315 W. Main St., Jamestown, with Pastor Tom Evans officiating. Don will be laid to rest in the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
