Donald Eugene Stewart Jr., 81, of Sebring, Fla., and Lebanon, passed away July 13, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Donald was born Sept. 19, 1934, in Lebanon, the son of the now late Donald and Eilene (Williams) Stewart. He was married to Paula (Voorhis) Stewart. She passed away in 2011.
In his early years, Donald started out as a farmer in Boone County with his father and grandfather. He then worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years. In Florida, he took his love for riding and racing motorcycles and opened Highland Cycle Center in Sebring, where he was the owner and operator. His other great passion was fishing, and he passed on this love to his grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons, Donald (Janet) Stewart III, and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Stewart, both of Lebanon; his sister, Kay Nay of Fishers; his brother, Gary (Kay) Stewart of Port Charlotte, Fla.; his grandchildren, Donnie Wilson, Raylee Stewart, Jake Stewart, Justin Stewart, Cassidy Stewart and Nikki McCarty, all of Lebanon; his great-grandchildren, Jadah Wilson and Mason McCarty; and his companion, Janie Briggs.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, July 16, for visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon.
