Donna M. Brewer, 77, of Rushville, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017, in Rushville. Donna was born in Indianapolis on June 15, 1940, to the now late Paul R. and Vera (Richwine) Smith.
Donna was a 1958 graduate of Pike High School in Pike Township.
She married Darwin Brewer on April 10, 1960, and he survives.
Donna worked as an insurance agency secretary before she was married, and then was a devoted homemaker, farm wife and mother.
She was a member of Main Street Christian Church in Rushville, and was a former member of Arlington Christian Church, where she was a forwarding agent for mission work through the church, a vacation Bible school teacher for many years, and a funeral dinner coordinator.
Donna was a member of the Gab Garb and Glamour Home Ec. Club and a charter member of the Rush County ARC.
In addition to her husband, Darwin, Donna is survived by a son, Doug Brewer at home; two daughters, Dawn (Bill) Montgomery of Rushville and Dena (Joe) Stout of Salem; two sisters, Marcia (Bob) Straw of Linden and Paula Smith of Lebanon; a sister-in-law, Jeannie Correll of Jamestown; two grandsons, Colin and Drew Stout; and three stepgrandchildren, Joe (Alisha) Montgomery, Jaime Montgomery and Jonathon Montgomery. Also several nieces and nephews will be missing her. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Smith.
Friends are welcome to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, at Main Street Christian Church in Rushville. Pastor Doug Lee will preside. Burial will be in Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shares Inc.; Main Street Christian Church; Manilla Fire Dept.; or to the donor's favorite charity.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Moster Mortuary.
