Dylan's Story

Text size

Dylan Douglas Veach, 17, of Jamestown, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born Aug.12, 1999, a son of Douglas Michael Veach and Terri Lynn Bartlett. He was a lifelong resident of Boone County, and attended Western Boone High School.
He loved his family dearly and loved spending time with them. Dylan enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and music. His family was his life, and there was nothing that he wouldn't do for any one of them. He was a free spirit. He was so smart and loving. He always wanted to make people laugh and smile. He wanted everyone he was around to just be happy. It was his goal to make sure everyone around him was happy. He always wanted to make sure everyone had what they wanted and needed.
He loved his BB guns and had quite the collection. He loved going out and shooting his guns with his brothers. He loved to have company and to be around people who loved him. He loved animals and his dog, Reggie.
He was the most loving and caring young man anyone could meet. Anyone who ran into contact with him loved him. His laughter, smile and charisma were infectious. His teachers, coaches, friends and family - no one was exempt from the love and joy he added to every individual he'd meet. Anyone who really knew Dylan knew he was an inspiration to all - to everyone.
He was an avid sports fan, especially football.
