Edith "Bonnie"'s Story

Mrs. Edith "Bonnie" Scering Strahm, formerly of Thorntown, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, in Franklin, Ga. She was born on Jan. 11, 1934, in Thorntown, to Ora Joseph Scering and Roxanna Davidson.
Bonnie married Robert Strahm in Thorntown on Nov. 7, 1953.
She is survived by children, Monica and Tank Taylor of Franklin, Ga., Phillip and Mickie (Hines) Strahm of Thorntown, and Dorothy Strahm of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; a sister, Mary Lashbrook of Zephyrhills, Fla.; a brother, Richard Scering of Danville, Ill.; and 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; a son, Robert Jr; a sister, Dorothy Cordes; and five brothers, Earl, Joe, Bob, Jim and Jerry Scering. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Myers and Hunt Mortuary, 116 W. Plum St., Thorntown. Funeral services are to be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the mortuary in Thorntown, with the Rev. Bud Moody officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
