Elizabeth "Betsy"'s Story
Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Fairfield, 65, passed away at home in Thorntown on Monday, Jan. 29, 2018. She was born in New Haven, Conn. on Sept. 5, 1952, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Eblen) Mills.
On Jan. 24, 2008, she was married to Jerry Lee Fairfield at the Thorntown Christian Church; he survives.
Betsy had worked as an office clerk for American Health Network in Lebanon and was a representative for AVON Products. In addition, she and her husband, Jerry, were one of the first vendors at Tru-Finds Treasures in Lebanon.
Betsy attended the Thorntown Christian Church and was a member of the Yarn Club in Florida where she and her husband wintered. She enjoyed crocheting, making dolls clothes and sending clothing to the U.S. Troops.
Survivors include husband, Jerry L. Fairfield of Thorntown; two sons, Rusty Mills of San Diego, Calif. and Josh Mills of Conn.; 5 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Pam, Cindy and Pat; and her beloved pet, Lucy Lou.
Memorial Services are planned for 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at the Thorntown Christian Church, 125 W. Main St., in Thorntown, with Rev. Glen Jewell, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church in Thorntown. Interment will follow services at Sugar Plain Cemetery west of Thorntown.
