Mr. Ellsworth "Dean" Skow, 85, of Thorntown, passed away July 20, 2016, at Parkwood.
Dean was born on July 27, 1930, in Green Bay, Wis., to the now late Ellsworth and Marie (DeMars) Skow. He married LaDonna George on Oct. 8, 1988. She survives.
Dean was a minister with the Lutheran Church in Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana. He retired in 2008. He loved camping in state parks and spent some winters in Corpus Christi and San Antonio, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, LaDonna; daughter, Robin (Don) Rushton of Indianapolis; sons, Mark (Sara) Skow of Goshen and Shawn (Hazel) Skow of Forest, Va.; stepchildren, Dan (Sherry) Prince of Thorntown, and Randal and Daryl Prince, both of Lebanon; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald Skow of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Renee Angel, Joan O'Keefe and Richard Skow; and stepchildren, Mark Prince and Trena Prince.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, July 23, for visitation from 2 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Dean will be laid to rest at Washington Park North Cemetery in Indianapolis.
