On Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, Else J. Bergh passed away peacefully at her home in North Fort Myers, Florida.
She was born in Marburg, Germany, to Jacob and Anna Hauser on Jan. 29, 1929.
Else met and married Orville C. Berge while he was stationed in Germany. Else was very proud of their 65-year marriage. They moved to the United States and she became a U.S. citizen.
She is survived by her two daughters, Dorathy (Garry) Biddinger of North Myers, and Beverly Cunningham of Lebanon; two granddaughters, Dr. Devin (Kevin) Kistler of Lebanon, and Mallory (Cameron) Banks of Frankfort; and grandson Chase Cunningham, Lebanon; two great-granddaughters Kora and Rhys Kistler; great-grandson Bricen Banks.
Her husband, Orville C. Bergh and son-in-law Dr. Mark Cunningham, preceded in death.
Else had a variety of jobs over the years, including dental hygienist, Joann Fabrics, J.C. Penney's and Western Boone High School kitchen staff.
After retirement, Orville and Else spent many years traveling all over the country, and then settled Lake City, Florida, where she volunteered at the hospital and was an avid bird watcher.
Else enthusiastically supported horse showing and never missed watching her grandkids showing livestock at the Boone County Fair.
