Frances Joyce Bahler, 82, passed away on April 16, 2017, at Mulberry Healthcare. Frances was born on Jan. 27, 1953, to Joseph and Celia (Danner) Stoller in Wolcott.
On Feb. 6, 1955, she was married to Alfred Bahler. They celebrated 59 years together before he passed away on June 27, 2014.
For most of her life she was a farm wife, but for over 20 years she was employed as a cook for the Tri-County School Corporation. She thoroughly enjoyed being around students. She also worked part time for Payless Supermarkets in the Bakery Department in West Lafayette.
A great cook, she enjoyed providing her family and friends with cupcakes, cookies and pies, along with dozens of Christmas cookies she lovingly decorated every year.
Frances was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Wolcott for nearly 65 years.
Surviving are her children, Steve (Brenda) Bahler of Lebanon, Luann (Bob) Gerber, Chris (Teresa) Bahler, Jake (Friend Holly) Bahler and a daughter-in-law, Elaine Bahler, all of Wolcott. In addition there are 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Phyllis Baird of Indianapolis and Beverly Blume of West Lafayette; and two brothers, Richard (Viola) Stoller of Wolcott and Larry (Judy) Stoller of North Port, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; sister, Norma Blume; brothers, Ervin (Bud) Stoller and Danny Stoller; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Baird, Donald Blume and Glenn Blume.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the Remington Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 20, at the Apostolic Christian Church of Wolcott. Ministers of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at the Wolcott Cemetery.
