Mr. James M. Watson, 88, of Lebanon and formerly from Marion, passed away Jan. 29, 2018, at his residence.
Jim was born Mar. 28, 1929 in Marion, a son of the late Charles and Melissa (Lemunyon) Watson. He was married to Ruthalice (Hood) Watson. She survives.
Jim served with the U.S. Army. He was a shop foreman for General Machine & Tool.
Jim was a Scout Master for 14 years with Troop 6 in Marion. He was an expert woodworker and helped restore the Stockdale Mill in Roann. Jim was a former elder of First Christian Church and Walk by Faith Community Church. He currently worshiped at Lebanon Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruthalice; children, Charles (Linda) Watson of Paoli, Clayton (Sharon) Watson of Monticello and Cynthia Watson of Lebanon; grandchildren, Grace (Thomas) Marshall, Isaac (Carrie) Watson and Laura Watson; and great-grandchildren, Dylan Watson, Eli Watson, Emilia Marshall, Orion Watson and Charlotte Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Glendale Watson, William Watson, Dee Watson and Ruth Sneed.
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 for visitation from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon.
