Ms. Jana D. Darrough, 63, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Danville Regional Rehabilitation in Danville. She was born in Beech Grove, on Nov. 19, 1952, the daughter of the now late Erwin Wayne and Miriam Fay (Brame) Darrough.
A longtime resident of Lebanon, Jana was a 1970 graduate of Lebanon High School. She received a bachelor's degree from IUPUI and a master's degree from Phoenix University. She spent 12 years as a clerk in the office at Conrail Railroad in Avon.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed a variety of activities, but nothing more than her family and friends. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, frequenting garage sales, and talking on the telephone for hours.
Survivors include son, Ray Darrough of Westfield; two grandchildren, Brannick Heath Darrough and Brylie Rae Darrough; two brothers, Eric W. Darrough of St. Louis, Mo., and Mark P. Darrough and wife, Carla, of Lebanon; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jana was preceded in death by a nephew, Christopher Darrough.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation.
