Jane Elizabeth Baca, 61, of Lebanon, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood in Lebanon. She was born in Lebanon on Nov. 12, 1955, a daughter of the late Harold L. Fenley and Arlene (Elson) Fenley.
She was a 1974 graduate of Lebanon High School, and was a member of the National Honor Society.
She was married to Michael Baca in 1984 in San Jose, Calif. They later divorced.
Jane began her career as a legal secretary for Wendell Iddings, working in the high school co-op program. She would work for Mr. Iddings in the afternoons, and continued to work there full time after high school. She then went to work at Witham Memorial Hospital, where she learned medical transcription; and that became a lifelong career for Jane.
She then accepted a position in San Jose, at the Stanford University Children's Hospital, where she worked for 10 years. Jane then moved to Oregon and worked for another hospital, before returning to Lebanon in 1994. She worked at Community East Hospital as a medical transcriptionist until 2000.
Jane enjoyed cooking, reading and flowers. She had a love for animals, especially horses and dogs. She was a pushover for a stray dog or cat, a trait she inherited from her mother. She loved riding horses, and eventually owned one of her own.
Jane was also an accomplished artist. This was a love that started in high school, earning her the outstanding art student of the year award.
She will be sadly missed by all her knew her.
