Jason Rudolph Kennedy, 40, of Dayton, Va., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born in Crawfordsville, on Dec. 30, 1975, and was raised in Mt. Clinton, Va. He was the son of Rudolph Jr. and Barbara Jean (Francis) Kennedy, of Bridgewater, Va.
Jason had worked at RR Donnelly and then as a lineman, carpet installer and a dairy farmer.
He loved honing his survival skills in the outdoors, and was an avid antique collector.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his daughter, Ashton Nicole Kennedy of Dayton; two sisters, Michelle Lee Coffman and husband, Tim, of Thorntown and Melissa Coffman and husband, Randy, of Jamestown; three nieces, Camile Hatcher, Katelyn Coffman and Lindsey Coffman; two great-nieces, Juliette Hatcher and Genevieve Hatcher; and his special dogs, Clover and Buddy.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Bridgewater. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Russell Heinrich officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Virginia.
