Jerry W. Bevington, 69, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Lebanon, passed away on Jan. 25, 2017. He was born May 28, 1947, in Lebanon, the son of Elsie C. (Eberwein) Bevington and the now late Mervin C. Bevington.
He was first married to Linda Detamore and they later divorced. He then married Trish Barbeau in 1987; she survives.
Jerry attended Lebanon High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably from 1966 to 1969.
He spent his working career as an over-the-road truck driver.
Jerry was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Lebanon.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved the time spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Trish Bevington; mother, Elsie C. Bevington; four children, Rachelle Bevington Wamsley, John Russell, Ronnie Russell and Jason Russell; three grandchildren, Ashleigh Wamsley, Lakota Wamsley and Greg Birge; and a sister, Debra (Vince) Morrow. In addition to his father, Jerry was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Barrickman.
Graveside services, with military rites, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Pleasant View Cemetery, SR 32, Lebanon.
