Josie Morris, 72, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. She was born in Jackson, Ky., on Nov. 27, 1944, to the now late Blanton and Vernie (Manns) Howard.
She was married to Norbert Morris. They were married for more than 50 years before he passed away.
Josie was a dedicated homemaker and took pride in raising her family.
She faithfully attended the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Jackson, Ky. She enjoyed doing crafts, being outdoors, and visiting with her neighbors.
Survivors include three children, Marilyn (Roger) Turner and Cynthia Lynn Morris of Jackson, and Eddie (Cress) Morris of Thorntown; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a sister, Joy Spicer of Jackson. In addition to her parents and her husband, Josie was preceded in death by two brothers, French Howard and Arlie Howard; and a sister, Meda Howard. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Jackson.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
