Mrs. LaDonna Rose Wills, 63, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at her home in Lebanon, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Martinsville on Sept. 22, 1953, a daughter of the now late Donald and Doris (Osborne) Hayden.
She attended schools in Martinsville, and Thorntown High School, where she sang in the school choir.
On Nov. 10, 1979, she was married to Virgil T. Wills in Lebanon; he survives. LaDonna held a variety of jobs throughout her life. She was a bartender, waitress, cook, grocery store clerk, and Avon and Tupperware representative. She also managed motels in the area and served as a QMA at various nursing facilities.
She was devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was proud of her family and at one point served as a Cub Scout den leader.
LaDonna liked to dance, and taught tap and line dancing. She was an avid fan of Elvis and took four amazing trips to Graceland. She enjoyed baking, cooking, latchhook and plastic canvas crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil Wills; two sons, Eric Gibson and Charles "Chuck" Gibson; three grandchildren, Devon Gibson, Zachary Gibson and Hannah Gibson; a sister, Kimberly Tyree; two aunts, Sharon Fields and Naomi Ferrin; and many cousins. In addition to her parents, LaDonna was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wesley Gibson; grandparents, Mary and Dolph Hayden, and Eunice and Harvey Osborne; a sister, Kelly Jo Hayden; and a grandson, Bentley Matthew Gibson.
Visitation is planned for 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are to be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Cremation will follow at Boone County Crematory in Lebanon. Memorials may be made to the VFW Auxiliary of Lebanon or the Boone County Cancer Society, 117 W. Elm St., Lebanon, IN 46052.
