Lake Michael Newnum left his life on earth too soon on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, after an auto accident in Marion County. He was 22 years old.
Born in Indianapolis on April 15, 1995, he was the only child of Michael J. "Mike" and Tierney C. (Lee) Newnum.
Lake was a 2013 graduate of Lebanon High School. He then attended trade school in the plumbing field, and was currently working as a plumbing apprentice.
He was a giving, loving and very happy young man.
Lake was very proud to be a vegetarian. He enjoyed skate boarding, music, working on cars, and he was an avid Star Wars fan. He loved having people around him at all times, and will truly be missed by his family and many friends.
Lake was a member of Traders Point Christian Church.
Survivors include parents, Mike and Tierney Newnum of Lebanon; paternal grandfather, Bernard J. Newnum and wife, Glenna, of Cloverdale; paternal grandmother, Sandra K. Bennett and husband, Chuck, of Greenfield; maternal grandmother, Charlotte Lee of Avon; aunts and uncles, Franky and Gary Genier of Avon, Kelley and Paul Kearney of Indianapolis, Zarth Lee of Lebanon, Gunnar Lee of Lebanon, and Kim and Matt Huddleston of Speedway; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Frank A. Lee; and an aunt, Amber Lee.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 19, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, at the mortuary.
