Marilyn L. Stockton, 86, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Jan. 28, 1931, in Lebanon, a daughter of the now late Walter O. and Catherine E. (Red) McIntyre.
On May 28, 1949, she was married to Robert K. Stockton in Crawfordsville; they later divorced.
A lifelong resident of Boone County, Marilyn was a 1949 graduate of Lebanon High School.
She had worked for Commercial Filters in Lebanon as a production operator, retiring in the early 1990s.
Marilyn enjoyed working jigsaw and word search puzzles, planting geraniums and feeding the squirrels.
She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved her family above all else.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan (George) Gideon of Thorntown, Brenda (Stephen) Reagan of Thorntown, and Linda (Brandi) Stockton of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Mike Gideon, Stacey (Kenny) Sutton, Bryce (Stephenie) Reagan and Valerie Reagan, all of Thorntown; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Fern Sheets of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and former husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by sister, Juanita (Walter) Mitchell; brother, Walter (Beverly) McIntyre; and brother-in-law, Lewis Sheets.
Visitation is planned for 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, at Myers and Hunt Mortuary, 116 W. Plum St., Thorntown. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 20, at the mortuary in Thorntown. Interment will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
