Mr. Michael Craig, 43, of Lebanon, passed away April 29, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Michael was born on Nov. 20, 1973, in Indianapolis, the son of James Edward Craig and Nettie Louise (Gwinn) Shrout.
He married Cheryl Hewitt on Oct. 12, 1996. She survives.
Michael worked for Autoglass Fitters.
He enjoyed bowling and golfing. He loved racing, and he used to drag race at the Indianapolis Raceway Park in his Malibu.
Michael was a member of the Jamestown Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Craig of Lebanon; his mother, Nettie (Bobby) Shrout of Brownsburg; his son, James (fiancé, Arrianna Artman) Craig; his daughter, Makayla (Chris) Asher of Greenwood; his mother- and father-in-law, Sandy and Kenneth Hewitt; his brothers-in-law, Chris Wells of Indianapolis and Michael (Maria) Hewitt; his grandchildren, Kaylin Schulthies, Madilynn Melton, Jaila Melton, and Corbin, Colton, Madison and Lilliana Asher; his niece and nephew, Samantha Wells and Andrew Craig; and his great-niece, Kelly. Michael was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Craig; and his sister, Michelle Lynn Wells.
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, May 3, for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon, with Pastor Larry Pierson officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon.
