Missy (Redman) Prescott. "Wow" whata girl. Always working, made home-cooked meals, and always had a clean house. Her father is Mike Redman. Her mother was Donna Ehrie.
She was born in 1969, hometown Lebanon, Ind.
She was married to Chris March in 1987. We met on a back street in Whitestown, where she always called home. She loved all the townspeople and the slow-going atmosphere.
Missy had been a waitress at the Blue and White Truck Stop, worked for Bob and Dale Joshlin at Speedyway Auto parts, and was a volunteer waitress on a Friday steak and catfish nights at the Legion Post 410.
She definitely loved her kids, Matthew Redman, Lynette Marsh, Willie Prescott and Carissa (Marsh) Stewart; all ten grandkids, and all six brothers, Bubba and Shelley Redman, Robbie and Dorthy Baumgardt, Josh and Kristi Spencer, Justin and Tawnya Ottinger and Joey and Tena Osborn; and stepmom, Jody Redman; stepsister, Ashley, and Nick Elliott. And we can't leave out Grandpa Ehrie and Grandma and Grandpa Redman.
She was just a true Angel. We always kissed each other goodnight and every morning goodbye. Her favorite color was Bud-Light. Her favorite song was Kid Rock. And her favorite thing to do was be with me. She was everyone's friend, my wife to the end, our "Pissy Ann." Cancer really brings friends closer than ever before, but in the end it still sucks.
To everyone who is our friends, we both enjoyed all the help and comfort that came to the both of us.
Her celebration will be from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at The Office in downtown Whitestown, on Main Street. Everybody is welcome to attend.
To all of the people of our hometowns, for the comfort that came to the both of us, "Thanks just ain't enough."
