Myra Ruth Lowe, 84, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Council Grove, Kan., on Oct. 4, 1932, a daughter of the now late Nelson Everett and Vivian Coreane (Johnston) Graham.
She was a 1950 graduate of Council Grove High School in Kansas. She then attended nurses' training at the Newman Hospital in Emporia, Kan.
In 1955, Myra moved to Lebanon. She worked as an RN at Witham Memorial Hospital for a period, and then for Dr. Thomas Dillon for 28 years, until he retired. She returned to Home Health Care at Witham and worked for 12 years, until her retirement at age 65.
Myra was dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, puzzles and sports. She took great pride in her yard; it always looked manicured.
Myra was a longtime member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include, three children, Kim Juillerat, Jim Lowe Jr. of Lebanon, and Kelly C. (Jack) Clark of Edwardsburg, Mich.; four grandchildren; four great-grandsons; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Larry Graham of Claflin, Kan.; three sisters, Margaret Ann Bryant of Houston, Texas, Martha (Robert) Wayman of Auburn, Kan., and Beverly (Ed) Gwinn of Central City, Ky. In addition to her parents, Myra was preceded in death by three brothers, John Graham, Lauren Graham and Russell Bruce Graham; and a brother-in-law, Allen Bryant.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
Myers Mortuary, Lebanon, has been entrusted with her arrangements for burial.
