Nancy's Story

Ms. Nancy Lou Golden-Vicars, 76, passed away at Witham Memorial Hospital on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Marion County on Aug. 4, 1940, the daughter of the now late Earl Francis and Irene C. (Fearrin) Reynolds.
Raised and educated in Whitestown, Nancy graduated from Whitestown High School in 1958.
She was first married to Earnest "Ray" Golden. They later divorced. She then was married to Ernie Vicars in Lebanon; they also divorced.
Nancy had worked as a clerk at the Lebanon Kmart. She then worked for Titus Bakery, and enjoyed taking care of the elderly.
Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed her family, playing bingo, and helping others. She was especially fond of her dog, Ginger. Nancy was a member of the Lebanon Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Jackie L. Waddell and husband, Tom, of Cayuga, Ind., and Kathy J. Gibbens and husband, Harold Ray, of Crawfordsville; grandchildren, Brandon Jamison and wife, Sam, Mike Smith, Aaron Buckels, Derek Buckels, Adam Roberts and wife, Heather, Steve Roberts, B.J. Roberts, Shane Roberts, Austin Waddell and Daniel Waddell; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Linda K. Reynolds of Whitestown.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie A. Jamison; a brother, Larry Jo "Doc" Reynolds; and grandchildren, Matthew Hughes, Heidi Hughes, Tammy Roberts and Jonathon Smith.
Visitation is planned for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
