Mr. Norman "Norm" McHargue, 76, of Advance, passed away Sept. 3, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.
Norman was born March 27, 1941, in Advance, a son of the now late Herbert and Lovenia (Bates) McHargue.
He married Patricia Sue Butler. She survives.
Norman worked for Martin's Gas, driving a propane truck. He owned and operated his own semi. He attended Lakeview Church in Indianapolis. Norman enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia McHargue of Advance; his son, Kevin (Melissa) McHargue of New Ross; his daughter, Carol (David) Gregory of Advance; his brothers, Wayne (Cathy) McHargue of Thorntown, Dennis McHargue of Advance and Rodney (Judy) McHargue of Greenville; his sisters, Juanita (Vick) Volrath of Lebanon, Hazel (Ken) Davis of Thorntown, Vickie (Charlie) Fearrin of Lebanon, Diane (Gordon) Chittick of Rossville and Roxie McNew of Lebanon; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Norman was preceded in death by three sisters, Dolly Lawson, Liz Williams and Sandie Tate.
Family and friends will gather for a graveside service Saturday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. at Pisgah Cemetery near Mace.
