Pat L. Burnett McConnaha Boles went to meet her Lord on Sept. 9, 2016, while surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on March 6, 1930, born to the now late John and Rebecca (Byron Woods) Burnett.
Pat was a loving, generous and talented person, who exemplified "it's better to give than to receive." A talented musician, she enjoyed playing the piano, and sang alto in her church choir nearly all her life. She also competed in ballroom dancing and continued to bowl on two leagues until a few months ago. Her favorite times, however, were those she spent with friends and family and participating in her church.
Pat is survived by her three children, Debra (Kirk MacKay) McConnaha, Donna McConnaha Brown and James S. (Karen) McConnaha; their father, James D. (Janice) McConnaha; brother, Jack (Marcia) Burnett; and her BFF, Beverly Bothel; as well as four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, Carlton "Lee" Boles, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
Those who wish to remember her are asked to donate to their favorite charity.
