Robert "Bob"'s Story
Robert "Bob" C. Williams, 90, passed away at Homewood, in Lebanon on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017. He was born on May 18, 1927, in Lebanon, to the late Forrest Brook Williams, Sr. and Mary May (Lemon) Williams.
He was married to Betty (Cook) Stevens on Dec. 21, 1957 in Boone County. She passed away on Feb. 22, 2010.
Bob graduated from Pennell High School. Following graduation, he served overseas in the U.S. Army for six years.
He was a member of Methodist Church and Life of Disabled Veterans Chapter 13 in Indianapolis. Bob enjoyed Indiana University sports, the great outdoors, fishing and woodworking.
Bob is survived by one sister, Mary Jane (Jim) Limp of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Mary, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Forrest Brook Williams, Jr. and Byron Frank Williams; and one sister, Venta Rose Bunch.
Funeral Services are planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon St., in Lebanon. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment with military rites will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his honor to the charity of the donor's choice.
