Robert "Robbie"'s Story
Robert W. "Robbie" Clark, 73, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017. He was born Dec. 2, 1943 in Muskogee, Okla.
He graduated from George Washington High School in 1962, where he was a member of the 1961 Indiana State golf championship team.
Robbie served in Panama during the Vietnam war era, thus the "stud" photo. After serving in the military, Robbie was the golf pro at Ulen Country Club. There he taught many youngsters the game of golf, many of whom still show their appreciation to this day. He worked at Cool Lake Golf Club for over 30 years, and was instrumental in the design and construction of the back nine.
Robbie owned and operated Rob Clark Lawn Care for over 25 years. He took great pride in the lawns he cared for, and had many sleepless nights worrying about "your" lawn.
On Nov. 2, 1995, Robbie married Julie Kirsch; she survives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Letitia (Tish) Richey; stepfather, Mendel; and siblings, Jerry and Jeanette.
He is survived by siblings, Peter and Ellen; along with several nieces and nephews and extended family.
Please join the family from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at The Barn bar and grill, to share your memories.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his care. Online condolences may be made at www.myersmortuary.com.
