Ronald "Ron"'s Story
Ronald S. "Ron" Ford, 69, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at his home in Lebanon. He was born on Aug. 28, 1948 in Lebanon, a son of the late Charles R. Ford and Mildred (Whiteman) Ford.
Ron married Dianna Marie (Jamison) in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. on Oct. 24, 1994; she survives.
A lifelong resident of Lebanon, he was a 1966 graduate of Lebanon High School.
Ron had worked in quality control for Allied Steel Rule Dies, Indianapolis.
As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he loved spending time with his family. Ron was an avid golfer. He enjoyed camping and being with his best friend; his dog, Ladybug. He also spent many years coaching and umpiring Lebanon Little League.
Survivors include his wife, Dianna Ford; son, Ronald Ford II; step-children, Robert L. Black, Jr., Shelly Hammerick and Mistie Coverdale; granddaughter, Lili Ford; step-grandchildren, Justin Black, Joshua Black, Mikal Black, Jordan Coverdale, Brandy Taylor and Dylan Coverdale; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Black, David Taylor, Brendon Taylor, Ellesice Black, Braxton Black and Delanie Black; and two best friends, Roger Marshall and the late Gary Davis.
