Mr. Ross Edward McCoy, 61, of Largo, Fla., and formerly of Lebanon,
passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at Largo Medical Center in Florida.
He was born in Lebanon on March 28, 1955, a son of the now late Ross Shirley McCoy and Alice Elizabeth (Thomas) McCoy.
He was survived by his surrogate family of Bridget Ball and her two daughters, Amy and Sara. He is also survived by his two brothers, Marion McCoy of Lebanon, and John McCoy of Roopville, Ga.
Ross attended Lebanon High School, and was a 1974 graduate of Dunedin
High School in Dunedin, Fla.
He lived in Largo, where he worked as a mechanic for a Ford Dealership. Ross enjoyed scuba diving and fishing in his free time.
His companion of 14 years, Digger, kept him company as man's best friend.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, and again from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
