Ruth was reared and educated in Kentucky before moving to Lebanon and she graduated from Lebanon High School.
On April 10, 1993, she married Richard Michael 'Mike' Cochran; he survives.
Ruth worked for 17 years as a manager of the American Legion Post #910 in Lebanon. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and soaking up the sun.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Cochran of Darlington; son, Cole Cochran of Bloomington; daughter, Miki (Ron) Cron of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Ryn Cron and Ryder Cron; brothers, Wayne (Kathy) Hasty of Lebanon, Bob Hasty of Lebanon; sisters, Wanda Deal of Lebanon, Geri (Bruce) Bartlett of Lebanon, Joyce Taylor of Lebanon; sister-in-law, Carol Hasty of Whiteland.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers, Verlin Hasty and Lee Hasty.
Funeral Services are to be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Myers and Hunt Mortuary, 116 West Plum Street, Thorntown, Indiana 46071. Visitation is planned from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Myers and Hunt Mortuary in Thorntown. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Darlington, Indiana.
