Mrs. Sally Lee Martin, 84, of Thorntown, passed away Jan. 11, 2018, at Homewood Healthcare.
Sally was born Nov. 26, 1933 in Vaught Ridge, Ky., a daughter of the late Hugle Asberry and Bexie Ellen (Phelps) Barber. She married Robert Burton Skow Sept. 5, 1952, they later divorced. She married Robert Dwight Martin on June 13, 1969. He passed away.
Sally had resided in Thorntown for over 45 years. She was a member of the Freedom Church in Lebanon. Sally loved children and holding a grandchild was one of her greatest joys. She loved flowers and working in her flower beds. She also loved to laugh and had a lively sense of humor. Sally liked to crochet and sew, and she also enjoyed going to yard sales.
Survivors include her children Tim Skow of Fla., Linda White of Thorntown, Randy Skow of Lebanon and Pam Marcy of Nashville, Tenn.; her brother Ronald Barber; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Sally was preceded in death by her son Robert Dean Skow; her brothers Luther James Barber, Hershel Clay, Loyd D. Barber, Paul Cecil Barber and Gurtsil Barber; her sisters Ida Ester Dick, Beatrice Irwin, Edna Young and Eunice Petro; and her son-in-law Craig White.
