Sheila Kay (Cawvey) Boggess


What a glorious day in Heaven on August 18, 2019 with the arrival of Sheila Kay (Cawvey) Boggess.
Sheila was born March 27, 1957 to Marshall and Janet (Bridgman) Cawvey in West Plains, Missouri.
Sheila came to know the Lord at a young age and spent much of her life sharing her faith and ministering to others. Over the years she was involved in many ministries, including: Campus Crusade for Christ, Samaritans Purse, Epiphany Ministries of Texas (youth ministry to incarcerated youth), Sunday School, Ministry to Kenyan Youth, Emaus Ministry, and others. She financially supported missionaries in Italy and Chad. Sheila helped organize the first Relay for Life in Mountain Home, Arkansas and participated for several years.
Sheila graduated as an honor student from West Plain High School in West Plain, Missouri, attended Hillsdale Freewill Baptist College in Moore, Oklahoma, and graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia, Missouri.
She spent much of her life work life in journalistic work as newspaper reporter, copy editor, managing editor. She also worked in public relations.
Sheila is survived by her parents, Marshall and Janet Cawvery. Her loving husband of 36+ years, Bob, three daughters, Bunny, Stacey, Janna, and son Benjamin. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, plus 6 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. Siblings include sisters Marsha, Robin, Terri and brother Von, preceding her in death is brother Craig. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins survive.
Two Celebration of Life services will be held. The first is on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at First Church of the Nazarene 2056 E. Wabash St., Frankfort, IN 46041. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm
