Vincent's Story

Vincent Farrell Morrow Sr., 85, passed away Saturday morning, May 6, 2017, at Witham Memorial Hospital, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Ringgold, La., a son of the now late James Denman and Mittie Viola (Armstrong) Morrow.
Vincent was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army. He served his country honorably from 1951 to 1955.
On May 13, 1953, he was married to Anna B. Fritz in Lafayette. She preceded him in death Feb. 1, 2008.
Prior to his time spent in the military, Vince worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He lived in Lafayette for a year, where he worked for Alton Box Company.
In 1956, he moved to Lebanon and began working at Commercial Filters, retiring from there in 1994.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He attended the Grace Baptist Church and was formerly active in Walnut Street Baptist Church, both in Lebanon.
Survivors include three children, Vincent F. Morrow Jr. and wife, Debra, of Lebanon, Connie A. Lutes and husband, Gary, of Spencer, and Lisa Hunt of Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren, Mike Morrow and wife, Julie, of Lebanon, Ohio, Dustin Morrow and wife, Heather, of Lebanon, Ohio, Steven Lutes and wife, Abigail, of Mt. Vernon, Mo., David Lutes and wife, Sunny, of Champaign, Ill., Matthew Lutes of Terre Haute, Jason Tyler of Pueblo, Colo., Dallas Tyler and wife, Laura, of Crawfordsville, Shane Tyler of Crawfordsville, Katie Hess of Lebanon, and Jamie Brown and husband, Brandon, of Crawfordsville; and 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Vince was preceded in death by two sisters, Leone Driskill and Minnie Dee Matthews; three brothers, James Morrow, Shelby Morrow and Lorey Morrow; and a son-in-law, Doug Hunt.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11, at the mortuary. Interment with military rites will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
