Deborah's Story

Mrs. Deborah Darlene "Debi" See, 61, of Crawfordsville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at 5:20 p.m., in the St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born April 29, 1955, in Lebanon, to Richard Lee and Iva Leona (Wethington) French.
She married Thomas Anthony "Tony" See on March 15, 1994, at Lake Waveland. He survives.
Debi had worked for Kroger for 27 years, last working in the front end office. She was a graduate of Southmont High School; attended the Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene; was a collector of Angels, Crosses and "Believe" figurines; and in her free time she enjoyed going to the Covered Bridge Festival with her husband.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Christy Whitaker of Ladoga; son, Rick Hockett of Crawfordsville; stepdaughter, Christine Daves of Indianapolis; and stepson, Charles Wafford of Anderson. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Nancy (Art) Smith of Carmel, Thomas French of Frankfort, Joseph (Letia) French of Kansas, Gerald (Carol) French of Frankfort, Jane (Todd) Huffer of Frankfort, Robert French of Lebanon, John (DeeDee) Messersmith of Texas, James (Tonia) Messersmith of Georgia, Charles(Alice) French of Georgia, Carolyn (Jeff) Davis of Lebanon, Richard (Nancy) French of Georgia, Linda Jones of Lebanon and Brenda Cox of Lebanon; seven granddaughters; and 35 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and a niece, Kaylee Warren.
Friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery, New Market.
