Emma Smith, 72, of Lebanon passed away Monday, Nov. 7, at home.
Emma had worked at Lowes Home Improvement in Zionsville.
She was born Oct. 26, 1944, in Crawfordsville, to Kenneth and Christine Hall Melvin.
She married Jesse Smith in 1993; he survives.
She is also survived by her daughters, Kay Flaurr, Leigh McElwee, Sondra Estelle and Evelyn Rogers; two stepdaughters, Marvel Smith and Faye Howell; siblings, Harold Melvin, Tom Melvin, Robert Melvin, Elizabeth Compton and Pathena Melvin. Emma also has nine grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, four stepgreat-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Smith; sister, Martha Riddle; brother, Carl Melvin; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Plainview Cemetery in Colfax.
