Floyd Mathew Ottinger, age 79, passed away at his home in Sheridan on Monday morning, June 12, 2017. The youngest of 13 children, Floyd was born on July 3, 1937, in Westfield, to the now late Francis Leonard and Ocal Leona (Brown) Ottinger.
With a deep love for agriculture, Floyd worked in and around farming for most of his life. Before working in the mill at JBS United Feeds, he worked for Wallace Grain Company.

Ottinger and Jennifer A. Ottinger, both of Sheridan; and by his loyal and loving best friend, his pug Buster; as well as his granddogs, Max and Buddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 12 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today, June 16, at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 E. 10th St., Sheridan. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Spencer Cemetery. Pastor George Cooper will be officiating.
