Mr. Frank Leon Nesbitt, 78, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon. He was born in Terhune on Dec. 21, 1937, one of nine children of the now late Earl Nesbitt Sr. and Anna (McCoskey) Nesbitt.
At the age of five, Frank and his family moved to Sheridan, where he later attended Sheridan High School.
On Sept. 6, 1958, he was married to Virginia Lou Egbert in Lebanon; she survives. They recently celebrated 58 loving years together.
Following their marriage, Frank and Virginia settled in Lebanon. He worked for the water department at Lebanon Utilities for 42 years.
Frank attended Lebanon Rock Church and had a strong faith in God. He prayed diligently for friends and family each day. Frank enjoyed playing horseshoes, bowling, and watching basketball and football.
Survivors include wife, Virginia L. Nesbitt of Lebanon; grandson, Austin M. Bright of Lebanon; brother, Earl Nesbitt Jr. of Sheridan; sister, Joey Stephens of Noblesville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Lee "Jerry" Nesbitt; a daughter, Tamara Lynn Bright; and siblings, Charles, Harold, Rosie, John, Vaughn and Jim.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 30, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at the mortuary, with Pastor Matt Skiles officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
