Gerald DeWayne Camp, 80, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Witham Memorial Hospital. He was born one of nine children, to the now late Frank Cecil and Evelyn Maxine (Brumbarger) Camp, on Jan. 26, 1937, in Indianapolis.
On June 9, 1967, he was married to Carol Susan "Sue" Brown in Frankfort; she survives.
Gerald was raised in the Frankfort community and attended Frankfort schools. He eventually moved to Lebanon, where he worked as a pressman at The Lebanon Reporter for 37 years; retiring in 1998.
Gerald was a member of the Lebanon Elks Club. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and playing golf.
In addition to his family, Gerald unconditionally loved his pets.
Survivors include wife, Sue Camp of Lebanon; children, Cheryl Brauchla and husband, Brian, of Warsaw, David Camp of Indianapolis and Tori Michaels of Reelsville; stepdaughters, Stephanie Holdman and husband, Phil, of Lebanon, Tammy Lasiter and husband, Denny, of Morgantown, Ky., and Tracy Rickard and husband, Jim, of Delphi; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann Kaylor of Frankfort, and Della Maxine Veerman and husband, Don, of Pekin, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank "Bud" Camp and Joseph Camp; four sisters, Ida Baker, Janet Pippinger, Ruthie Truax and Dorothy Elliott; and a brother-in-law, Jim Kaylor.
Visitation is planned for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
