Mrs. Jacque Sue Spidel, 76, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.
She was born in Lafayette on Dec. 5, 1940, the daughter of the now late William Palmer and Vera Isabelle (Gibson) Martin.
Jacque was a longtime resident of Lebanon and attended Lebanon schools.
She was married in Martinsville, on Aug. 3, 1957, to Don Neal Spidel. Mr. Spidel passed away on July 24, 2012.
Jacque had worked as a teacher's aide at Stokes Elementary School in Lebanon for 17 years. She then worked at Economy Fire and Casualty and later at Titus Bakery, both of Lebanon.
As a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoyed her family, and took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jacque also enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading and daily Bible study.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon.

Survivors include four children, Rick A. (Debby) Spidel, Michael G. (Tammy) Spidel, Donna S. (Robert) Ross, all of Lebanon, and Bill (Helen) Spidel of Crawfordsville; 11 grandchildren, Melissa L. Riker of Cicero, Kyle (Danielle) Spidel of Lafayette, Katie (Dustin) Lukes of Griffith, Jacob (Kandise) Ross of Burlington, and Megan N. Spidel, James Neal Spidel, Alan J. Spidel, Caleb Spidel, Kelsie (fiancé, Cameron Kearney) Spidel, Jeff (Courtney) Spidel, and John (Stacey) Ross, all of Lebanon;
12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and brother: Harlan "Bud" (Andy) Martin of Greenwood.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will immediately follow. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
