Jacquelyn Ann Basey Shuler Keck, 72, Frankfort, went home to be with the Lord at 5 a.m. on Feb. 1, 2017, at St. Elizabeth East, Lafayette.
She was born Oct. 20, 1944, in Lebanon, to Harold E. and Fairy E. (Shoemaker) Basey.
She married David L. Shuler on June 23, 1962, and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1978. She then married Philip E. Keck on Sept. 24, 1983; they later divorced.
Jacquelyn was a 1962 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School, and lived most of her life in Frankfort. She had worked at Farmers Bank as a teller, was secretary for Mr. Bill Beard at Beard Industries, and worked for Susan Kaspar State Farm, Lewis Ford Motor Sales, Ray Rudd Buick and the BMV. She retired from the BMV in 2009.
Jacquelyn was a strong believer in God and Jesus Christ as her Savior. She enjoyed sewing, crafting and quilting, and loved her family deeply.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim (Ken) Phillips of Dayton, Ohio, and Kara (Charles) Baetz of Frankfort; two sisters, Julia (Gerry) Hills of Payson, Ariz., and Joyce (Scott) Popke of Star Valley, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Cheryl Basey of Franklin, N.C.; four grandchildren, Kayleigh Phillips of Dayton, Ohio, and Adelaide Keck, Lorelei Baetz and Grayson Baetz, all of Frankfort.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Basey; infant son, Douglass W. Shuler; an infant daughter and an infant son.
Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. The service will follow at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
