James Russell Baldwin, 87, of Lomita, Calif., formerly of Lebanon, went to be with his beloved family in heaven on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016.
James was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Lebanon, a son of the now late Raymond E. Baldwin and Myrtle Dale Baldwin.
James is remembered by his family for his devotion and his warm, loving disposition.
He was the last living child of the Raymond and Myrtle Baldwin family, and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
James served proudly in the United States Navy from 1947 to 1955, and achieved the rank of gunner's mate 2nd class.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews in both Lomita and Indiana. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Rose Baldwin; and brothers, Donald Baldwin, Robert Baldwin and Edward Baldwin; and sisters, Mildred Baldwin Etter, Donna Baldwin Cogswell, Mable Baldwin Jones and Betty Baldwin Strawmyer.
Services were held for friends and family on Sept. 14, in California.
Final interment and graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Oak hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
