Mrs. Jessie Morris, 84, of Lebanon, passed away Dec. 5, 2016, at Witham Memorial Hospital.
Jessie was born on Feb. 10, 1932, in Lebanon, the daughter of the now late Isaac and Susanna (Grass) Isenhower.
She was married on March 4, 1955, to Byron Morris. He survives.
Jessie was a 1951 graduate of Lebanon High School. She worked for the welfare department in Indianapolis until the birth of their first daughter.
She enjoyed reading and bowling, and was a very talented seamstress, especially when making her children's clothing.
Survivors include her husband, Byron; and daughters, Pam (Larry) Malone of Lebanon and Kathy (David) Brewer of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jeremy (Elise) Hodges of Lebanon, Kyle Hodges of Avon, Andrew Hodges of Fishers, Luke Malone of Lebanon, McKenzie Malone of Lebanon, Chris Malone of Westfield, Stephanie Hoover of New Castle and Jennifer (Dylan) Nissley of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Cooper Hodges, Addy Hodges, Benjamin Malone and Rex Malone; a brother, Faye (Sharon) Isenhower of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Martha (Robert) Pearl and Helen (Bill) Harlos.
Family and friends will gather Thursday, Dec. 8, for visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Jessie will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Boone County Cancer Society, 117 W. Elm St., Lebanon, IN 46052.
