Mrs. Joan Ann (McCall) Bauer, 84, of Lebanon, passed away April 2, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Joan was born on April 28, 1932, in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of the now late Louis and Ann (Lounsbury) McCall. She married Russell (Rutty) Norman Bauer. He passed away on Jan. 15, 1986.
Joan was a stay-at-home mom. She then started babysitting and worked in the lunch room at Stokes Elementary School for many years. Joan enjoyed Bingo, family dinners and crocheting.
She was a loving mother to her four children, Lynn Bauer of Sheridan, Debbie Wethington of Lebanon, Susan Bauer of Lebanon, and Rusty (Dawn) Bauer of Lebanon; a devoted grandmother to Kristy (Jason) McGinley of Lebanon, Chad (Tracey) Wethington of Lebanon, Mathew Creasy of Chicago, Amy (Wade) Morrow of Lebanon, Lisa (Chris) Wescott of Noblesville, Brittney Bauer of Lebanon, and Cody Bauer of Lebanon; and a great-grandmother of eight. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Louis McCall and Ron McCall.
Family and friends will gather Thursday, April 6, for visitation from 4 until 7 p.m. Services will be noon Friday, April 7, in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Joan will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
