John Clark Myers Jr., 70, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Golden Living Center in Greenfield. He was born in Indianapolis on March 14, 1946, a son of the now late John C. and Ella F. (Isenhower) Myers.
John was a 1964 graduate of Lebanon High School. Following high school, he joined the National Guard Reserves.
He was first married to Connie (Copp) Myers. They later divorced. John was then married to Donna Myers; she preceded him in death.
John had worked many years in heavy equipment sales for Caterpillar. He then worked as a pressman for KMJ in Lebanon, before retiring from Meijer and Home Depot.
John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, working as safety patrol at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, enjoyed photography, and going to auctions.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon, and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Lebanon.
Survivors include children, Amie Boles of Knightstown, Beth Hale and husband, Adam, of Lebanon and David Myers and wife, Jennifer, of Knightstown; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Myers and wife, Judy, of Washington, Mo.; sister, Carolyn Prather and husband, Mike, of Lebanon; and former wife, Connie Copp-Myers of Greencastle.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 6, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Memorial services are planned for 6:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
Cremation has been entrusted to Boone County Crematory.
